Tamdhu Distillery

Tamdhu distillery is a single malt Scotch Speyside whisky distillery, located in the village of Knockando in Banffshire, Scotland. Tamdhu comes from Gaelic for “little dark hill”.

Built in 1897, Tamdhu Distillery has been making whisky for over 100 years in the heart of the Speyside region. Originally built by blenders, today it produces an excellent Single Malt and is one of the rising stars of the area.

Alexander Murray & Co brings you this fine expression of Tamdhu Single Malt, distilled in 2014 and aged for 7 years in oak barrels.

Nutty and cereal notes are immediately evident, followed by a fresh fruitiness with hints of honey and apple. A prime example of how flavorful and rich a young Single Malt can be.

Region: speyside

Speyside single malts are single malt Scotch whiskies, distilled in Strathspey, the area around the River Spey in Moray and Badenoch and Strathspey, in northeastern Scotland. Although generalized, known as a region that produces delicate and fruity whisky, many styles are produced here. Almost half of Scotland's distilleries are situated here, on the banks of the United Kingdom's fastest flowing river.
